The Pamilyang OFWs-SMEs Expo 2002 is in line with Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s efforts to uplift the socio-economic status of the country’s more than 8 Million OFWs and their families as well as the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to which Department Trade & Industry (DTI) Secretary Mar Roxas has committed to fully support under his programs.
With the exhibit’s theme,”OFW and SME Families Gear Up For The Millennium Challenge,” the thrust of the event is to open new doors to OFWs and SMEs by showcasing various business opportunities being offered by private and the government sectors. The fair is expected to attract individuals and groups who are planning to start a business, seeking to expand their existing business and who want to diversify into other industries.
